Description
As per ISO/BIS definition, any particle that has at least one of its dimensions in the size range of 1 nm to 100 nm (1 nm = 10-9 m) is termed as nanoparticle. As per recent DBT guidelines on biosafety, these dimensions could be extended up to 1000 nm if the material possess improved properties or phenomena because of the effect of dimensions.
